Our History

Project DreamHaus, formerly E. B. Keahey Ministries, was founded in 2001 by Eugene and Deanna Keahey. Project DreamHaus was granted non-profit 501(c)(3) status in 2006. The founders envisioned a hands-on educational experience that would open the hearts and minds of troubled youth to a whole new realm of life possibilities. The original program provided scholarships for graduating high school seniors and adult mentoring to youth. An adult mentoring retreat was designed to open youth to personal transformation. The founders understood that a continuing relationship with an adult mentor would help make the transformation “stick.”

Because of their love for people, Pastor and Mrs. Keahey have expanded their ministry and now provide food and clothing to those in need. Project DreamHaus’ Mobile Food Pantry brings nutritious food to the door steps of neighbors living in the Southern section of Dallas County. Through its partners, quality fruits, vegetables, and dry protein are delivered to children, families and Seniors. The Project DreamHaus Clothes Closet provides free clothing to those in need. Through its services, Project DreamHaus demonstrates its Motto: Changing Lives One Dream at a Time!
